Change of pace - no tragic vanished donkeys or depressingly endangered plants!

The Music Man will be presented by the Aloha Performing Arts Company at the Aloha Theater in Kainaliu, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 7:30 PMSeptember 21, 22, 23, 28, 28, 29, 30November 4, 5 & 6Sunday Matinee 2:30 PMSeptember 24 & 31 / November 7 & 14. Your humble correspondent is the stage manager for the production, although for the next few rehearsals I'll be reading the part of Mayor Shinn. I'm happy to say that at the rehearsal today, I succeeded. I succeeded in not embarrassing my daughter. That's enough for today. I don't necessarily aim for the stars.

News Update - Still no Donkeys

Although the "Donkey Crossing" signs continue to charm credulous tourists, there continue to be NO DONKEYS actually roaming that area, much less crossing the highway. Meanwhile the developers who eradicated the donkeys from the area continue to modestly refuse credit for their actions.


Vigorous wiliwili tree at Pu'uwa'awa'a Ranch below the highway. In the background is the 900 foot thick single Pu'u Anahulu flow. Everywhere under the trees the alien fountain grass chokes out new trees and poses a fire hazard.Posted by Hello
